Zinc and Prussian Blue

Oxidized Copper Patina

Mechanical Symbols

Corroded zinc plates layered with thick oil impasto, turpentine washes, and residual lapis dust.

Salvaged copper fragments treated with acid to achieve a natural blue-green patina alongside raw umber.

Scraped canvas surfaces scored with faint numerical stamps and iron filings embedded in the wet paint.

From the Hills

I kept this rusted copper fragment from the Barberton hills for two years before it found its place in the canvas.

Evidence of making remains visible in every dried drop of turpentine and every scored metal edge.
